Swansea (Welsh (taal)|Welsh: Abertawe) is een stad met ongeveer 225.000 inwoners in het zuiden van Wales. De stad is gelegen bij de monding van de rivier de Tawe.
Economie
Swansea is een industrieel centrum voor de metallurgie. Er zijn bladmetaalfabrieken, gieterijen en metaalsmelterijen. Andere industrieën zijn techniek, scheepsbouw en olieraffinage (in de voorstad Llandarcy). Ruwe olie, metalen, hout, graan en rubber zijn de belangrijkste invoerproducten.
