Naha: Guide

Naha (那覇市; -shi) is de hoofdstad van Prefecturen van Japan|Japanse prefectuur Okinawa (prefectuur)|Okinawa. In 2006 had de stad 316.028 inwoners. De bevolkingsdichtheid bedroeg 8105 inw./km². De oppervlakte van de stad is 38,99 km². De moderne stad Naha werd gesticht op 20 mei 1921.

Geschiedenis

Voordat Okinawa deel ging uitmaken van Japan, was Naha de hoofdstad van het Koninkrijk Ryukyu vanaf de vroege 15e eeuw tot zijn afschaffing in 1879.
