Thionville (Nederlands: Diedenhoven; Duits: Diedenhofen) is een gemeente in het Frankrijk|Franse departement Moselle (departement)|Moselle (regio Lotharingen) en telt 40.907 inwoners (1999). De plaats maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Arrondissement Thionville-Est|Thionville-Est. De stad ligt in het Luxemburgse taalgebied (ofschoon deze taal er sterk op zijn retour is) en is bekend om zijn (stagnerende) staalindustrie.
