Geschiedenis
Saint-Amand-les-Eaux is ontstaan rondom een van de belangrijkste abdijen van graafschap Henegouwen|Henegouwen en Vlaanderen, gesticht door Amandus van Gent. Het complex is tijdens de Franse Revolutie vrijwel geheel gesloopt.
