Coquelles: Guide
Coquelles is een gemeente in het Frankrijk|Franse departement Pas-de-Calais (regio Nord-Pas-de-Calais) en telt 2353 inwoners (2005). De plaats maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Arrondissement Calais|Calais.
In een ver verleden had het dorp een Vlaamsklinkende naam; in de 12e eeuw werd Qualquelle (Kalkwelle) geschreven; de huidige naam is daarvan een Franse fonetische nabootsing.
Omdat Coquelles vlak bij de ingang van de Kanaaltunnel ligt, zijn er hotels en winkelcentra. In de winkelcentra is veel alcoholische drank verkrijgbaar, omdat die voor engelsen goedkoper is. Engelsen die via de kanaaltunnel voor een dag naar Coquelles komen om drank te kopen worden ook wel "booze cruisers" genoemd.

De oppervlakte van Coquelles bedraagt 8,8 km², de bevolkingsdichtheid is 267,4 inwoners per km². De geografische coördinaten zijn 50° 56' N.B. 1° 48' O.L.
